Club Meeting and Family get-together - 100% Family Entertainer! Published (31-May - 08)

Our second get-together of the year kicked off with our dear 'Demolishing Man' J.K welcoming all the members And family followed by Rojo (a specialist in sixes), Manager EHCC, mentioning the vision and mission of our club. He also stated the importance of punctuality; all our members should keep in mind when we organize such events. 'Test Captain' Sujin, J.K and 'Lovely boy' Sandeep kept the crowd on toes with fun filled games and humor. Jaipradeep took over the stage with an innovative questionnaire session which was exceptionally well scripted And contained humor in every word. The mood was electrifying. The food was Yummy and the ambience was great.

Hats off to the organizing team, we are looking forward For more of such events.

Second match of the tri series which was crucial for the greens who were already one down, started off drastically for them loosing master blaster Jaipradeep in the first ball of the match off Samad after winning the toss and electing to bat. Moncy soon departed, off excellent fielding, a direct hit from third slip. Ameer(28) and Ziya steadied the innings with stroke play and punishing any lose balls and looked good together until Samad struck again bowling Ameer of 28. Vinu looked fine with his strokes until the decisive ball off sherry, bowling him off for 4.Anil (10), Noushad (16) and Faizal(13) took on the responsibility of building a competitive total of 115 in 15.3 over before Reds bowled them out. Sherry and Sandeep pulled off some well judged catches to put the curtains on the Green's.

Reds started off positively with the inform batsman Sandeep (14 Notout) and Mani (11 Notout) scoring over 6 per over. Greens had to wait until the duo retired after 5 overs when new batsman Nishanth was bowled by Zia for 1. Sherry-Rojo partnership kept the momentum on before Jaipradeep had Rojo caught in front of the stumps for 7. Sherry was soon to follow, stumped by Noushad off Ameer for 17. Samad (21 Notout) and Joseph (23 Notout) then took the Reds to seal the series 2-0 with one over to spare.

What a thriller!

Fresh off from the test, just minutes after the second test of 2008 year got over,The EHCCians were quick to adapt to the t20 format.The fielders were on the leather hunt from the beginning with Samad and Pradeep Providing a blistering start for Greens. Rest of the batsmen kept the momentum going.150 at the end of 15 overs.

Reds opened with Jaipradeep and Noushad. Jai was in no mood to rest from the beginning.He made mockery of any good length balls, sending every thing that was thrown at him over the fence.On twice occasion fielders were seen jumping the fence and giving way to speeding cars.Unfortunately I and Jijo were once in such a situation.Vinu and Zia were also in attacking mood, but that fatal ball from Jijo put an end to Vinu's charging.Greens held their nerves till the end in a nail biting finish to pull off the victory by 1 run.This match has shown us what we are capable of, what a team we are.300 runs in 30 overs, amazing.

On behalf of all team members I would like to thank Rojo and Ameer for providing equal Opportunities to all the members, in batting and bowling and yet getting the most Out of each member to provide a memorable match.It doesn't matter who won this match, but we can all remember this day as 'Mother of all matches'. We are looking forward for more of such matches !

EHCC Talks - Test Summary (Day 1) May 05 2008 Published on (06-May-2008)

The second test of 2007-2008 seasons is underway. The Red Bulls led by fiery Anil and the Green Riders led by ever kewl-kewl Sujin Will enter the second day of the battle on coming Friday (9th May).The first day has been completely dominated by the Riders, With Sandeep's quick fire 32, Ameer – 18 and kewl captain's classy 28. Moncy and Noushad on the tail end sent the Bulls on Leather hunt and chipped in 24 and 21 respectively. They demonstrated how quick singles can be taken with exact placement and contributed 50 run with their partnership when their innings came to an end at 215.

Bulls eager to use the sunshine and dry outfield send Joseph and Philip to utilize the first 3 over. But things didn't go as planned,With Joseph returning to pavilion on zero, result of run out by classy Moncy and Noushad combination striking again, this time as fielder and Wicky. Philip soon returned caught behind of Ziya. With curtains coming down Sherry and Anil were on the crease. This duo has a lot of responsibility On their shoulders. All depends on second day, with Jaipradeep and Prasanth joining back the batting line-up after a day break.

The Bulls boasts a strong line up with Samad, Vinu, Jaipradeep, Prasanath,Balu and Nishanth.
